Baruch Gottlieb is a filmmaker, hactivist, feminist scholar and theorist. He lectures in digital aesthetics at UdK Berlin and at Potsdam University of Applied Sciences, and curates at West Den Haag in The Hague, NL.
Besides teaching, curating and writing, his practice spans digital public art, interactive and generative media, sound, and video. With Ji Yoon Yang he co-founded Sound Effects Seoul and with Steffi Winkler, the Flusser.Club. With Mansour Ciss he founded the Laboratoire de Deberlinisation and he is a core member of science-art collective disnovation.org. He published several books, including: Gratitude for Technology (ATROPOS 2009), A Political Economy of the Smallest Things (ATROPOS 2016), Digital Materialism (Emerald 2018) and The Most Human Condition. A treatise in Eco-Communism (Delere Press, 2024).
